南アフリカ共和国の、最大都市ヨハネスブルグから首都プレトリアまでの、「ハウトレイン」の線路配線図です。

“Gautrain” is a higher-speed railway between Johannesburg, the biggest city in South Africa and Pretoria, the capital city. The maximum speed is 160km/h. This line was opened in 2010, in the wake of South Africa’s World cup.

“Gautrain” is consisted of 2 routes(Johannesburg-Pretoria, and Marlboro-Johannesburg OR Tambo international airport). This line become underground(subway) with single-track rail in downtown Johannesburg. The gauge is adopted the standard 1,435mm’s, different from the other train line’s 1,067mm.

「ハウトレイン」は、南アフリカの人口最大都市であるヨハネスブルグから、首都プレトリアを結ぶ準高速鉄道です。最高速度は１６０km/hです。南アフリカワールドカップを契機に2010年開業しました。

プレトリア方面へ向かう系統の他に、ヨハネスブルクのORタンポ空港を結ぶ路線があります。ヨハネスブルクの中心街は単線の地下鉄になっています。線路幅は在来線と異なる標準機1,435mmとなっています。
