Hawaii's Skyline is a railway line on Oahu Island that opened on June 30, 2023. This is the first railroad line in three and a half centuries since Hawaii's railroads were discontinued in 1947.
As of June 2024, it is in commercial operation on a distance of 11 miles (17.7 km) from Kualakaʻi in western Oahu to Hālawa Aloha Stadium. All lines are elevated double tracks. Fully automated operation is in place.
ハワイの鉄道「スカイライン」は、2023年6月30日に開業したオアフ島の鉄道路線です。1947年にハワイの鉄道が廃線になって以来の３半世紀ぶりの鉄道路線です。
2024年6月現在はオアフ島西部のクアラカイからハラワ(アロハスタジアム)までの11マイル(17.7km)で営業運転されています。全線が高架の複線です。完全自動運転が実施されています。
The line is scheduled to be extended to Kahauiki Station, the closest station to the Port of Honolulu, via Honolulu International Airport in 2025, and to Kālia Station via downtown Honolulu in 2031. It is electrified with 750V DC using the third rail system, and the trains run at a maximum speed of 55mi/h (88km/h).
2025年にはホノルル国際空港経由でホノルル港最寄り駅のカハウイキ駅まで、2031年にはホノルルのダウンタウンを経由してカルア駅まで延伸される予定です。第三軌条方式の直流750vで電化されていて、列車は最高速度55mi/h(88km/h)で走行します。
