The passenger's railroad company, Amtrak's "Texas Eagle" is a train that connects San Antonio, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois via Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas, Little Rock, and St.Louis. This page shows you the maps from San Antonio to Fort Worth.
Fort Worth and Dallas are twin cities, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is the most populous metropolitan area in Texas. Fort Worth Central Station also serves the Amtrak "Heartland Flyer" to Oklahoma City, the "Trinity Metro" Light Rail Transit to DFW Airport, and the "Trinity Railway Express" to Dallas. After leaving Fort Worth Central Station, the "Sunset Limited" stops at Clebourne, Mc Gregor, Temple, Taylor, Austin, and San Marcos stations befor arriving at San Antonio station.
San Antonio is the third most populous city in the southwestern state of Texas. San Antonio Station also serves the "Sunset Limited" train, which connects Los Angeles and New Orleans via Tucson, El Paso, San Antonio, and Houston. The train travels 457km from Fortworth to San Antonio, taking approximately 7 hours. In the future, Amtrak plans to operate an intercity express train called the "Texas Triangle" on this section.
