The PNGL line (Palmerston North Gisborne line) runs from Palmerston North to Wairoa. 

Palmerston North is a base station on the North Island Main Trunk along the Tasmanian coast and the starting station for the PNGL line. The train departs from Palmerston North and travels through a valley called Manawatu George.

The Wairapapa line from Wellington joins at Woodville station. The station has a loop line that allows trains to travel from Wellington to Napier, from Palmerston North to Napier, and from Wellington to Palmerston North without reversing themselves.

　パーマストンノースからワイロアまでは、PNGL線(パーマストンノース・ギズボーン線)があります。

　パーマストンノースはタスマニア海沿いの北島幹線の拠点駅で、PNGL線の始発駅です。パーマストンノースを出発した列車はマナアトゥ・ジョージという渓谷を走行します。

　ウッドビル駅では、ウェリントン方面へのワイラパパ線が合流します。この駅には、ウェリントンからネイピア方面、パーマストンノースからネイピア方面、ウェリントンからパーマストンノース方面へのいずれへ行くにも折り返しをせずに済むようにループ線が配置されています。

Hastings is one of Hawke's Bay's twin cities. There is a fountain on the south side of Hastings Station, and you can see the railway tracks running through the fountain.

Napier is another Hawke's Bay city, a hub for wool centers and with  export port. Currently, freight trains  teminate at Napier.

　ヘイスティングスはホークスベイにある２大都市のうちの一つです。ヘイスティングス駅の南側には噴水があり、鉄道の線路が噴水の中を走る光景が見られます。

　ネイピアはホークスベイのもう一つの都市で、羊毛のセンターの結節点であり、輸出港があります。現在はこのネイピアまで鉄道貨物輸送がされています。

From Napier to Wairoa, this line enters a mountainous area. This section was damaged by Cyclone Gabriel in 2023 and remains closed to the present. A forestry train loaded with logs was running from Wairoa.

Although the line from Wairoa to Gisborne has been discontinued, the Gisborne City Heritage Railway operates steam locomotive trains from Muriwai to Gisborne.

　ネイピアから先　ワイロアまでは山岳地帯に入ります。この区間は2023年のサイクロン「ガブリエル」による被害を受け、現在も不通の状態が続いています。ワイロアからは林業列車が走っていました。

　ワイロアからギズボーンまでは路線としては廃止されていますが、ムリワイからギズボーンまではギズボーンシティ・ヘリテージ鉄道がSLの運行を行っています。

At Gisborne Airport, you can see a rare sight of a steam locomotive crossing the airport runway.

　ギズボーン空港では、SLが空港の滑走路を横切る珍しい光景を見ることができます。
