Singapore has many MRT (Mass Rail Transit) and LRT (Light Rail Transit) lines. This page introduces MRT's East-West Line and North-South Line.

Both the MRT East-West Line and North-South Line are Singapore's first urban railways, having started operating in 1987. The rail track width uses standard gauge and is electrified with 750V DC.

The MRT East-West Line connects Pasir Ris on the east side of Singapore to Tuas Link on the west side. This line also has a branch line connecting Singapore Changi Airport and Tanah Merah. Passengers using Changi Airport must change trains at Tanah Merah Station to reach downtown Singapore.

The MRT North-South Line runs from Jurong East on the west side of Singapore, passes through Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands, passes through the CBD, and connects with Marina South Pier at the port. Users should be aware that the Malayan Railway Woodlands Checkpoint and Woodlands Station are far apart and not within walking distance. The easiest way to get to Woodlands Checkpoint is by bus departing from Kranji Station.

　シンガポールには多くのMRT　マス・レール・トランジットとLRT　ライト・レール・トランジットの路線があります。このページでは、このうちMRTの東西線と南北線を紹介します。
　MRT東西線と南北線はともに1987年に営業を開始したシンガポール初の都市鉄道です。線路の幅はスタンダードゲージを採用していて、直流750Vで電化されています。
　MRT東西線には　シンガポールの東側のパジル　リスから西側のトゥアス・リンクを結ぶ路線です。なお、この路線にはシンガポール・チャンギ国際空港とタナ・メラを結ぶ支線があります。チャンギ空港の利用者がシンガポールの中心部へ行くにはタナ・メラ駅で乗り換えをする必要があります。
　MRT南北線は　シンガポールの西側のジュロン・イーストから、チョア・チューカンとウッドランズを経由してCBDを通り、港のマリーナ・サウス・ピアを結ぶ路線です。マレー鉄道のウッドランズ・チェックポイントからウッドランズ駅までは離れていて徒歩圏内ではないため利用者は注意が必要です。なお、ウッドランズ・チェックポイントへ行くにはクランジ駅から出発するバスが便利です。

Singapur tiene muchas líneas de MRT (Mass Rail Transit) y LRT (Light Rail Transit). Esta página presenta la línea Este-Oeste y la línea Norte-Sur de MRT.

Tanto la línea MRT Este-Oeste como la línea Norte-Sur son los primeros ferrocarriles urbanos de Singapur y comenzaron a operar en 1987. El ancho de la vía férrea utiliza ancho estándar y está electrificado con 750 V CC.

La línea MRT Este-Oeste conecta Pasir Ris en el lado este de Singapur con Tuas Link en el lado oeste. Esta línea también tiene un ramal que conecta el aeropuerto Changi de Singapur y Tanah Merah. Los pasajeros que utilicen el aeropuerto de Changi deben cambiar de tren en la estación Tanah Merah para llegar al centro de Singapur.

La línea MRT Norte-Sur va desde Jurong East en el lado oeste de Singapur, pasa por Choa Chu Kang y Woodlands, pasa por el CBD y se conecta con Marina South Pier en el puerto. 　地鐵東西線 連接 新加坡東側的 巴西立 和 西側的 大士連路。這條路線還有一條支線 連接 新加坡樟宜機場 和 丹那美拉。使用 樟宜機場的旅客 必須在 丹那美拉站 換火車才能到達 新加坡市中心。

　地鐵南北線 從 新加坡西側的 裕廊東 出發，經過 蔡厝港 和 兀蘭，穿過中央商務區，與港口的 濱海南碼頭 相連。使用者應注意，馬來亞鐵路 兀蘭檢查站 和 兀蘭站 相距較遠，並非步行可達。前往 兀蘭檢查站 最簡單的方法 是從 克蘭芝 車站 搭乘 巴士。

The four distinctive stations on the two lines are City Hall Station in the CBD, Raffles Place Station, also in the CBD, Jurong East Station, the terminus of the North-South Line, and Gul Circle Station in the west.

Both City Hall and Raffles Place stations are designed to allow passengers to transfer between the East-West and North-South lines on the same platform whenever possible. Jurong East Station also connects trains from the East-West Line and the South-North Line. The nearest station to the famous "Merlion Park" is Raffles Place Station.

Gull Circle Station is currently only a station on the East-West Line, but it has a two-tiered structure with four tracks on two platforms, and was designed in anticipation of a future branch line to the southern part of Tuas.

The East-Wast Line and the North-South Line share their depots, and are operationally inseparable from each other.

　２つの路線の駅で特徴的なのは、CBDのシティ・ホール駅、同じくCBDのラッフルズ・プレイス駅、南北線の終点のジュロン・イースト駅、西部のガル・サークル駅の４つです。
　シティ・ホール駅とラッフルズ・プレイス駅の両駅では、乗客は東西線と南北線とを極力同じホーム上で乗り換えができるように設計されています。ジュロン・イースト駅も同様に東西線と南北線の電車が相互に接続します。なお、有名なマーライオン公園はラッフルズ・プレイス駅が最寄り駅です。
　ガル・サークル駅は現在は東西線のみの駅ですが、プラットホーム２面線路４線の２層構造となっており、将来トゥアス南部への分岐線ができることを見越した設計となっています。
　東西線と南北線は車庫を共有しており、お互いを切っても切り離せないような関係になっています。

Las cuatro estaciones distintivas en las dos líneas son la estación City Hall en el CBD, la estación Raffles Place, también en el CBD, la estación Jurong East, el final de la línea Norte-Sur, y la estación Gul Circle en el oeste.

Tanto la estación City Hall como la Raffles Place están diseñadas para permitir a los pasajeros hacer transbordos entre las líneas Este-Oeste y Norte-Sur en la misma plataforma siempre que sea posible. La estación Jurong East también conecta trenes de la línea Este-Oeste y de la línea Sur-Norte. La estación más cercana al famoso "Merlion Park" es la estación Raffles Place.

La estación Gull Circle es actualmente solo una estación en la línea Este-Oeste, pero tiene una estructura de dos niveles con cuatro vías en dos plataformas y fue diseñada en anticipación de un futuro ramal a la parte sur de Tuas.

La Línea Este-Wast y la Línea Norte-Sur comparten sus depósitos y son operativamente inseparables entre sí.

　兩條線路上的四個特色車站分別是位於CBD的 政府大廈站、同樣位於CBD的 萊佛士坊站、南北線終點站 裕廊東站 以及西邊的 卡爾圈站。
　政府大廈站 和 萊佛士坊站的設計都是為了讓乘客盡可能在同一月台上在 東西線 和 南北線 之間換乘。裕廊東站 也連接 東西線 和 南北線的列車。距離著名的「魚尾獅公園」最近的車站是 萊佛士坊站。
　卡爾圈站 目前只是 東西線上的一個車站，但它有兩層結構，兩個月台上有四個軌道，是為未來通往 大士南部的支線而設計的。
　東西線和南北線共用車廠，運作上密不可分。
