This is a route map for the Vancouver area.
"The Canadian" train departs from Pacific Central Station in Vancouver. Amtrak's "Cascades" train also departs from this station, bound for Seattle in the United States.
Vancouver has urban railway lines called the "SkyTrain", which has three lines: the Canada Line, the Expo Line, and the Millennium Line. VIA Rail's Pacific Central Station is located about 100 meters from Main Street Science World Station on the Expo Line.
Vancouver International Airport is connected to the Canada Line, with connections to the Expo Line at Waterfront Station.
The luxury train "Rocky Mountaineer Railway" departs from Rocky Mountaineer Station, located approximately 1.5 km southeast of Pacific Central Station.
こちらはヴァンクーヴァーエリアの路線図です。
「ザ・カナディアン」号はヴァンクーバーでは パシフィックセントラル駅を発着します。この駅からはアメリカ合衆国のシアトルへ向かうアムトラックの「カスケーズ」号も発着します。
ヴァンクーバーにはスカイトレインと呼ばれる都市鉄道があり、カナダ線とエキスポ線、ミレニアム線の３つの路線があります。VIA鉄道のパシフィックセントラル駅は、エキスポ線のメイン・ストリート・サイエンス・ワールド駅から約１００ｍの位置にあります。
ヴァンクーバー国際空港からはスカイトレインのカナダ線が出ており、エキスポ線へはウォーターフロント駅で乗り換えできます。
豪華列車 ロッキーマウンテニア鉄道はパシフィックセントラル駅から南東に約1.5kmの位置にあるロッキーマウンテニア駅から発車します。
This map is Edmonton and Winnipeg.
Edmonton has two Light Rail Transit(LRT) lines. VIA Rail’s Edmonton Station is far from the city center and a little inconvenient. It is also about 3 km away from the nearest LRT station, NAIT station.
Edmonton Airport has long-distance flights to Europe on KLM Airlines(Netherland) to Amsterdam in addition to flights major cities in North America, .
The Winnipeg-Churchill train “Hudson Bay” departs from Winnipeg Station. This train, like other VIA Rail trains, is in the red, but it continues to exist because there is no alternative road to the railway in Churchill, a port town facing the Arctic Ocean. Winnipeg Airport serves flights to major cities in Canada and the United States.
こちらはエドモントンとウィニペグです。
エドモントンにはLRTの路線が２系統あります。VIA鉄道のエドモントン駅は市内の中心部から離れていて少し不便です。LRTの最寄りのNAIT駅からも約３km離れてしまっています。なお、エドモントン空港からは北米の大都市を結ぶ航空便の他、ヨーロッパ方面への長距離便としてオランダ KLM航空のアムステルダム行きが発着します。
ウィニペグ駅からは、ウィニペグーチャーチル列車「ハドソン・ベイ」号が発着します。この列車も他のVIA鉄道の列車と同様赤字ですが、北極海に面する港町チャーチルにおいて鉄道の代替道路が存在していないことから存続しています。ウィニペグ空港ではカナダやアメリカ合衆国の大都市の空港への航空便が発着します。
The last one is a route map of Toronto. I'm sorry, but I have omitted the route map of Toronto's subway and streetcar because it would be too complicated to draw.
The Union Pearson Express connects Toronto Pearson Airport with Toronto Union Station. In addition to Pearson Airport, Toronto also has Billy Bishop Airport, which has a short runway and is used for short-haul flights. It is easy to understand that Billy Bishop Airport is similar to New York's LaGuardia Airport, Washington's National Airport, and London's London City Airport.
Since "The Canadian" trains turn around at Toronto Union Station without changing the formation order of the passenger cars, there are two running routes between Toronto Union Station and Langstaff Station. The train via the Go Transit Barrie Line requires two switchbacks within Toronto.
From Toronto to Bloomington, Toronto's double-decker commuter rail, Go Transit, runs on the same track. Additionally, the Ontario Northland Railway's "Northlander" train is scheduled to return in 2026, and will run on the same track as "The Canadian" train from Toronto Union Station to Washago Station.
The train connecting Sudbury and White River departs from Sudbury Station, but "The Canadian" train departs from Sudbury Junction Station. Please note that the two stations are approximately 10km apart, so it is not possible to transfer on foot.
最後はトロントの路線図です。トロントの地下鉄と路面電車の路線図は、申し訳ないですが描くと複雑になりすぎてしまうので省略させていただきました。
トロント・ピアソン空港からは 「ユニオン・ピアソンエクスプレス」がトロント・ユニオン駅との間を結びます。なお、トロントにはピアソン空港の他にビリー・ビショップ空港があり、こちらの空港は滑走路が短いため近距離の航空便が発着しています。ビリー・ビショップ空港は、ニューヨークでいうラガーディア空港、ワシントンでいうナショナル空港、英国のロンドンでいうロンドン・シティ空港のような役割であると考えるとわかりやすいでしょう。
カナディアン号は列車編成の向きを変えずにトロント・ユニオン駅を折り返すため、トロント・ユニオン駅～ラングスタッフ駅間は２通りの走行ルートが存在します。通勤鉄道 ゴー・トランジット バリー線経由の列車は、トロント市内で２回スイッチバックします。
トロントからブルーミングトンまでは、トロントの２階建ての通勤鉄道 ゴー・トランジットが同じ線路を走行します。また、2026年にオンタリオ・ノースランド鉄道の「ノースランダー」号が復活する予定で、この列車はトロント・ユニオン駅からワシャゴ駅まで「カナディアン号」と同じ線路を走行する予定です。
サドベリーからホワイトリバーを結ぶ列車はサドベリー駅を発着しますが、「ザ・カナディアン号」はサドベリーにおいてはサドベリー・ジャンクション駅を発着します。両駅は約１０ｋｍ離れているため、徒歩で乗り換えはできないので注意しましょう。
