Honam High Speed Rail is a line from Seoul to Mokpo in South Korea. It opened in April 2015.
湖南高速鉄道は韓国のソウルから南西部の都市、木浦を結ぶ路線です。2015年4月に開業しました。
Honan High Speed Rail trains depart from Yongsan Station in Seoul. The depot on the Seoul side is located at a place called Haengsin on the Gyeonggi Line, and there are commercial trains that start at Haengsin Station and stop at Yongsan Station.
On the other hand, Seoul Station is the starting station of the Gyeongbu High-speed Railway, and some Honan High-speed Railway trains departing from Haengsin have trains that stop at Seoul Station and trains that pass through it.
Honan High Speed Rail trains do not stop at Yeongdeungpo Station. Gyeongbu High Speed Rail trains via Suwon on Gyeongbu Line stop at that station, but there are no Honan High Speed Rail trains that go through Suwon.
In addition to KTX, limited express trains called Saemaeul (or ITX) and express trains called Mugunghwa run in South Korea. Similar to high-speed railways, Gyeongbu Line trains depart from Seoul Station and pass through Yongsan Station, while Honam Line trains depart from Yongsan Station. Saemaeul (ITX) and Mugunghwa also stop at Yeongdeungpo Station.
湖南高速鉄道の列車は、ソウル市内では龍山駅を発着します。なお、ソウル側の車庫は京義線の幸信(へんしん)という場所にあり、幸信駅始発で龍山駅に停車する営業列車も存在します。
一方で、ソウル駅は京釜高速鉄道の始発駅で、幸信始発の湖南高速鉄道の列車には、ソウル駅に停車する列車と通過する列車が存在します。
永登浦駅には、湖南高速鉄道の列車は停車しません。京釜高速鉄道の京釜線水原経由の列車は停車しますが、湖南高速鉄道には水原経由の列車は存在しません。
また、韓国にはKTX以外にセマウル(ITX)とムグンファという特急列車が走り、高速鉄道と同様に京釜線の列車はソウル駅発着で龍山駅を通過、湖南線の列車は龍山駅始発となります。セマウル(ITX)とムグンファは永登浦駅にも停車します。
From Seoul terminal to Geumcheon-gu Office, the KTX train runs on the Gyeongbu Line tracks, then enters into the new high speed line from Geumcheon-gu Office. Just before Cheonan-Asan Station (on the north side), the SRT high speed rail train from Suseo Station, a terminal in the southeastern part of Seoul, joins. SRT trains are operated by a different company than KTX, and the car body color is purple instead of KTX's blue color.

龍山駅から衿川区庁まではKTXの列車は京釜線の線路を走り、衿川区庁から高速新線に入ります。天安牙山駅の手前で(北側で)ソウル南東部のターミナル、水西駅からのSRT高速鉄道が合流します。SRTの列車はKTXとは異なる会社により運行されており、車体の色もKTXの青系の色ではなく紫色になっています。
From Osong Station, the Gyeongbu High Speed Rail Line branches off for Daejeon, Daegu, and Busan. In addition, the Honan High Speed Rail train that runs through Seodaejeon station also runs from Omong Station via the Gyeongbu High Speed Rail. Most trains of the Hunan High-speed Railway enter the Hunan High-speed Railway Line from there. This route does not go through Daejeon, but through Gongju.
五松駅からは、大田・大邱・釜山方面への京釜高速鉄道線が分岐します。また、西大田経由の湖南高速鉄道の列車も五松駅から京釜高速鉄道を経由します。湖南高速鉄道のほとんどの列車はここから湖南高速鉄道線に入ります。この路線は大田を経由せず、公州を経由します。
Iksan Station, the next station after Gongju, is a junction station where the Jeolla Line to Suncheon and Yeosu Expo in southern, and the Janghang Line to Janghang in western Korea brunches off. All trains, including high-speed trains, stop this station. Although the Jeolla Line is not a high-speed railway, KTX trains run at a maximum speed of 200km/h on this line. The local government has requested this, but as of May 2024, unfortunately, no SRT trains have been scheduled to run on the Jeolla Line yet.
公州の次の益山駅は韓国南部の順天、麗水エキスポ方面への全羅線と、韓国西部の長項への長項線が分岐するジャンクション駅です。高速鉄道を含め、すべての列車が停車します。全羅線は高速鉄道ではありませんが、この路線ではKTXは最高速度200km/hで走行します。地元自治体は要望していますが、残念ながら全羅線に乗りいれるSRTの列車はまだ設定されていません。
In Gwangju, a large city in southwestern South Korea, high-speed trains depart from Gwangju Songjeong Station. Passengers must transfer to the metro to reach Gwangju city center. Please note that some of the (ITX) Saemaeul and Mugunghwa trains depart from and arrive at Gwangju Station. Until recently, a local train ran between Gwangju Songjeong Station and Gwangju Station, but it was discontinued because the local government could not raise the cost of introducing new trains.
韓国南西部の大都市、光州では高速鉄道は光州松汀駅を発着します。乗客は光州市の中心部へ行くにはメトロに乗り換える必要があります。なお、(ITX)セマウル号とムグンファ号の列車のうち一部は光州駅を発着します。少し前までは光州松汀駅と光州駅の間に普通列車が走りましたが、新車の導入費用を地元自治体が捻出できなかったことを理由に廃止されました。
From Gwangju to the terminal Mokpo, high-speed trains run on the Honam Line. This is KTX's fastest train, connecting the 369.3km distance between Yongsan Station(in Seoul) and Mokpo Station in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
光州から終点の木浦までは、高速列車は湖南線を走行します。KTXの最も速い列車で、ソウルの龍山駅と木浦駅の間の369.3kmを約２時間３０分で結びます。
