The East Coast Line is a 527.7km line that connects Tunpa, facing the South China Sea, with Gemas Station, which connects to the West Coast Main Line. The entire line is single track and non-electrified. Although it is called the East Coast Line, it was originally built for the purpose of transporting crops from plantations, so the train actually runs through the forest, and is also known as the "Jungle Train", and there are no views of the coastline from the train.
A train named "KTM Intercity" runs. There are 3 to 5 round trip trains a day, one of which is a locomotive-pulled overnight passenger express train called "Express Rayat Timran'' that runs directly from Tumppa to Johor Bahru on the West Coast Main Line. The other trains are operated by class 61 diesel cars called "Shuttle Timuran''.
Along the way, the Sungai Korok branch line branches off from Pasirmas Station to Sungai Korok in Thailand, and international trains were also operated, but currently no trains are in service. In addition to this, the rail tracks of the Sungai Korok branch line are in a state of disrepair.
東海岸線は、南シナ海に面するトゥンパと西海岸本線と接続するゲマス駅を結ぶ527.7kmの路線です。全線が単線で非電化区間です。東海岸線という名前ですがもともとはプランテーションの作物などを輸送することを主目的として敷設されたため、列車は実際には森の中を走行し、「ジャングル・トレイン」とも呼ばれています。列車から海岸線の景色は見えません。
KTMインターシティという名前の列車が走行します。１日３～５往復の列車が運転され、そのうち１往復はトゥンパから西海岸本線のジョホールバルまで直通する「エクスプレス・ラヤット・ティムラン」という名前の機関車牽引の夜行客車急行列車です。その他の列車は「シャトルティムラン」と呼ばれるクラス６１気動車で運転される列車です。
途中パシールマス駅からは タイのスンガイ・コーロックまでのスンガイ・コーロック支線が分岐していて、国際列車も運行されていましたが、現在は列車は運行されておらず、線路も荒廃が進んだ状態になってしまっています。
La Línea de la Costa Este es una línea de 527,7 km que conecta Tunpa, frente al Mar de China Meridional, con la estación de Gemas, que conecta con la Línea Principal de la Costa Oeste. Toda la línea es de vía única y no está electrificada. Aunque se llama Línea de la Costa Este, se construyó originalmente para transportar cultivos desde las plantaciones, por lo que el tren atraviesa el bosque y también se le conoce como el "Tren de la Jungla". Desde allí, no se puede ver la costa.
El tren "KTM Intercity" opera de 3 a 5 trenes de ida y vuelta al día, uno de los cuales es un tren exprés nocturno de pasajeros tirado por locomotoras, llamado "Express Rayat Timran", que va directamente de Tumppa a Johor Bahru por la Línea Principal de la Costa Oeste. Los demás trenes son operados por vagones diésel clase 61 llamados "Shuttle Timuran".
En el trayecto, el ramal de Sungai Korok se desvía de la estación de Pasirmas a Sungai Korok, en Tailandia. También operaban trenes internacionales, pero actualmente no hay trenes en servicio. Además, las vías del ramal de Sungai Korok se encuentran en mal estado.
東海岸線 是 全長527.7公里的 鐵路，連接面向南海的 屯巴(Tumpat) 和 金馬士(Gemas)站，金馬士站 連接 西海岸幹線。全線為單軌非電氣化。雖然稱為東海岸線，但最初是為了 從 種植園運輸農作物而建造的，所以火車實際上是穿過森林，也被稱為“叢林火車”，而且從火車上看不到海岸線的景色。

Laluan Pantai Timur ialah laluan sepanjang 527.7km yang menghubungkan Tunpa, menghadap Laut China Selatan, dengan Stesen Gemas, yang menghubungkan ke Laluan Utama Pantai Barat. Keseluruhan talian adalah trek tunggal dan tidak berelektrik. Walaupun ia dipanggil Laluan Pantai Timur, ia pada asalnya dibina untuk tujuan mengangkut hasil tanaman dari ladang, jadi keretapi itu sebenarnya berjalan melalui hutan, dan juga dikenali sebagai "Kereta Hutan", dan tidak ada pemandangan pantai dari kereta api.

Between Kuala Krai station and Dabong station, the train runs through a valley and passes through several tunnels. At Dabon Station, the "Shuttle Timuran'' makes one round trip and returns to Tumpat Station.

東海岸線は森林の生い茂る人口の少ない地域を経由します。グア・ムサンでは１往復の「シャトルティムラン」の急行列車がトゥンパ方面へ折り返します。この急行列車はトゥンパとグア・ムサンの間の206.1kmを、グア・ムサン行きは約5時間25分、トゥンパ行きは約4時間55分かけて走ります。グア・ムサンには竹で作られたモスクである、マスジド・ブル・グア・ムサンがあります。
La ruta de la costa este atraviesa zonas densamente arboladas y escasamente pobladas. En Gua Musang, el tren expreso "Shuttle Timuran" realiza un viaje de ida y vuelta y regresa a Tumpat. Este tren expreso recorre 206,1 km entre Tumpat y Gua Musang, con una duración aproximada de 5 horas y 25 minutos hasta Gua Musang y 4 horas y 55 minutos hasta Tumpat. En Gua Musang se encuentra la Masjid Bur Gua Musan, una mezquita construida de bambú.

All "Shuttle Timuran" trains except "Express Rayat Timuran" reverse at Kuala Lipis Station.

La estación de Gemas es una estación de enlace con la línea principal de la costa oeste. También hay una vía férrea de conexión desde la línea de la costa este hasta Kuala Lumpur.
El "Express Rayat Timuran" circula entre las estaciones de Tunpat y Gemas durante aproximadamente 11 a 11 horas y media.

Stesen Gemas ialah stesen persimpangan yang menghubungkan ke Laluan Utama Pantai Barat. Terdapat juga landasan kereta api penghubung dari laluan pantai timur ke Kuala Lumpur.
"Express Rayat Timuran" beroperasi antara stesen Tunpat dan Gemas selama kira-kira 11 hingga 11 setengah jam.
