"The Overland" is the train between Adelaide, South Australia and Melbourne, Victoria. It takes about 10 hours.

In Adelaide city, this train departs from Adelaid Parklands termimal (Not Adelaide terminal). It runs on Belair Line at first. This line had doubled tracks with1,600mm gauge rails, but now it has a single 1,435mm track and 1,600mm track. The train climbs up the mountain and goes through the steep surve.

　「ジ・オーバーランド」号は、南オーストラリア州の都市アデレードと、ヴィクトリア州の都市メルボルンを結ぶ列車です。所要時間は約１０時間です。

　アデレードでは、アデレードターミナルではなくその南のアデレードパークランズターミナルを発着します。列車はベレーア線を走行します。ベレーア線はかつては1,600mmゲージの複線でしたが、現在は1,435mmの単線と1,600mmの単線の並列になっています。山間のカーブの急な区間を超えます。

"The Overland" es el tren entre Adelaide, Australia del Sur y Melbourne, Victoria. Se necesitan unas 10 horas.

En la ciudad de Adelaida, este tren sale de la Terminal de Parques de Adelaida (no de la terminal de Adelaida). Al principio circula por la línea Belair. Esta línea tenía vías duplicadas con carriles de ancho de 1.600 mm, pero ahora cuenta con vía única de 1.435 mm y vía de 1.600 mm. El tren sube la montaña y recorre una pendiente empinada.

　「The Overland」是往返 南澳大利亞 阿德雷德 和 維多利亞州 墨爾本之間的火車。大約需要10個小時。

Between Murraybridge and Ararat, this section has a single track(1,435mm gauge). Once this section had 1600mm gauge tracks, the gauge had changed for operating interstate freight trains in Australia. In Australia, rail transport is hamped by the different withs(gauge) of rail tracks in each state.

　ミュレーブリッジからアララトまでは1,435mmのゲージの単線区間です。かつては1,600mmゲージでしたが、州間貨物列車を走らせるために1,435mmゲージに変更されました。オーストラリアでは各州で線路の幅が異なることが鉄道輸送上の障害となっています。

Entre Murraybridge y Ararat, este tramo tiene vía única (ancho de 1.435 mm). Una vez que esta sección tuvo vías de ancho de 1600 mm, el ancho cambió para operar trenes de carga interestatales en Australia. En Australia, el transporte ferroviario se ve obstaculizado por los diferentes anchos de vía de las vías férreas en cada estado.
