"The Overland" train from Adelaide, South Australia state, go through the left line from Ararat station on this diagram via Northshore. From Moorbool to Melbourne, there are some dual gauge tracks (1,435mm is for interstate freight rail and "The Overland" train, the other 1,600mm gauge for regional freight trains and passenger's trains).

Between Northshore and Newport, the line is in paralleled with Geelong Line. The train runs throuch freight branch between Newpport station and Tottenham station. From Foorscray station, this train goes through yards near Melbourne port, and then gets to Melbourne Southern Cross terminal.

　南オーストラリア州の大都市アデレードからくる　ジ・オーバーランド号はアララトから図の左のルートであるノースショア経由のルートを走行します。ムーラブールからは線路の幅の異なる1,600mm軌間のゲージと合流し、３線軌になります。

　ノースショアからはジーロング線に並行して走ります。ニューポート駅からは貨物支線を走行し、トッテナムに入ります。そこからデニリキン線の横を走り、フットスクレイからは海側のヤードを走行し、メルボルン　サザンクロス駅へと至ります。

De Moorbool a Melbourne, hay algunas vías de doble ancho (1.435 mm es para el ferrocarril de carga interestatal y el tren "The Overland", el otro ancho de 1.600 mm para trenes de carga regionales y trenes de pasajeros).

There are some Intercity express train routes(1,600mm gauge trains) from Melbourne. Geelong Line is between Melbourne and Geelong, and some trains toward Warranabool. Ballarat Line is between Melbourne and Ballarat, and some trains toward Ararat. Ballarat Line is on the shortest distance route from Melbourne to Adelaide. The max speed of these trains is 160km/h.

Hay algunas rutas de trenes expresos interurbanos (trenes de ancho de 1.600 mm) desde Melbourne. La línea Geelong se encuentra entre Melbourne y Geelong, y algunos trenes van hacia Warranabool. Ballarat Line está entre Melbourne y Ballarat, y algunos trenes hacia Ararat. Ballarat Line está en la ruta de distancia más corta desde Melbourne a Adelaida.
