The route from Gympie North Station in Gympie, a town famous for its gold mining, to Brisbane is electrified with AC 25kV 50Hz. In this section, electric train of Brisbane-City-Train-Network also runs in addition to the long-distance trains "Spirit of Queensland", "Electric Tilt Train",' and "Spirit of the Outback" trains. The trains on the City-Train-Network are called the "Sunshine Coast Line".

　金鉱で有名な町、ギンピーのギンピー北駅からブリスベンまでは交流25kv 50hzで電化されていて、この区間では長距離列車の「スピリット・オブ・クイーンズランド」、「エレクトリック・ティルトトレイン」、「スピリット・オブ・ジ・アウトバック」の他にシティトレイン・ネットワークの電車が走ります。なお、シティトレイン・ネットワークの電車は「サンシャインコースト線」と呼ばれます。

La ruta desde la estación Gympie North en Gympie, una ciudad famosa por su minería de oro, hasta Brisbane está electrificada con CA 25 kV 50 Hz. En este tramo también circula el tren eléctrico de la red de trenes de la ciudad de Brisbane, además de los trenes de larga distancia "Spirit of Queensland", "Electric Tilt Train" y "Spirit of the Outback". Los trenes de la red de trenes urbanos se denominan "Sunshine Coast Line".

The number of trains on the Sunshine Coast Line will increase significantly from Nambour Station. The train starting from Gympie North Station will be an express train from Caboolture to Bowen Hills, and the train starting from Nambour Station will be an express train from Petrie to Bowen Hills.

The area beyond Beerburrum is double tracked. The double track section will be extended to Landsborough near future.

At Petrie Station, the Redcliffe Peninsula Railway Line joins, and from there it becomes a triple-track section. From Petrie Station to Northgate Station, the Redcliffe Peninsula Line runs as a local train, and the Sunshine Coast Line runs as an express train.

　ナンボー駅からはサンシャインコースト線の電車の本数がかなり増えます。なお、ギンピー北駅始発の電車はカブルチャーからボーエンヒルズまで、ナンボー駅始発の電車はペトリーからボーエンヒルズまで急行電車になります。
　ビアバーラムから先は複線化されています。なお、複線区間はランズボローまで延伸される予定です。
　ペトリー駅ではレッドクリフ半島線が合流し、その先は３線区間になります。ペトリー駅からノースゲート駅までは、レッドクリフ半島線が各駅停車、サンシャインコースト線が急行電車として走ります。

El número de trenes en la línea Sunshine Coast aumentará significativamente desde la estación Nambour. El tren que partirá de la estación Gympie North será un tren expreso de Caboolture a Bowen Hills, y el tren que partirá de la estación Nambour será un tren expreso de Petrie a Bowen Hills.

El área más allá de Beerburrum tiene doble seguimiento. El tramo de doble vía se ampliará hasta Landsborough en un futuro próximo.

At Northgate Station, the Shorncliffe Line joins and becomes quadruple-track. From there, trains on the Shorncliffe Line stop at every station, and in addition to the Sunshine Coast Line, the Redcliffe Line also becomes an express train to Bowen Hills. The Brisbane Airport Line and Doomben Line meet at Eagle Junction. Brisbane Airport Line and Doomben Line trains, like the Shorncliffe Line, operate as local trains.

North of Bowen Hills, the Ferny Grove Line joins and the Exhibition Railway Line (which connects to Roma Street without going through Brisbane Central Station) branches off. In addition to freight trains and forwarding trains, there are passenger trains on Exhibition Railway line during the Royal Queensland Show (locally known as Ekka). In addition, the Cross River Railway Line, an underground railway connecting the north and south of Brisbane, is currently under construction along the Exhibition Railway Line.

(Brisbane) Central Station is located underground in Brisbane's CBD and is the starting point for the North Coast Line. It is a transit station, with very few trains terminating at this station; most trains either terminate at the next stop, Roma Street, or connect directly to southern lines such as the Gold Coast Line. Roma Street Station is the central station in Brisbane, along with Central Station. This station serves the XPT trains from Sydney. In addition to Queensland's 1,067mm gauge train, this station has a platform that can accommodate 1,435mm gauge trains on only two lines. This standard gauge platform was later expanded, so the nostalgic station building is located between the platforms.

　ノースゲート駅ではショーンクリフ線が合流し、複々線になります。ここから先はショーンクリフ線の電車が各駅停車で、サンシャインコースト線に加えてレッドクリフ線もボーエンヒルズまで急行電車になります。イーグルジャンクションではブリスベン空港線とドゥンベン線が合流します。ブリスベン空港線とドゥンベン線の電車は、ショーンクリフ線と同じく各駅停車として運行されます。
　ボーエンヒルズの北側ではファニーグローブ線が合流し、エキシビション鉄道線(ブリスベン中央駅を経由せずにローマストリートへつながる路線)が分岐します。エキシビション鉄道線は貨物列車や回送電車の他、ロイヤル　クイーンズランドショー(地元ではエッカと呼ばれるお祭り)が開催される際に旅客電車が走ります。なお、エキシビション鉄道線の途中区間では、ブリスベンの南北を結ぶ地下鉄道　クロス・リバー鉄道線が建設中です。
　(ブリスベン)中央駅はブリスベンのCBDの地下にある駅で、北海岸線の起点です。通過式の駅となっていてこの駅を終点とする列車はほとんどなく、多くの電車はその次のローマストリートが終点になるか、ゴールドコースト線などの南側の路線に直通します。ローマ・ストリート駅は中央駅とならぶブリスベンの中心部の駅で、シドニーからのＸＰＴも発着します。この駅にはクイーンズランドの1,067mm軌間の他、２線のみ1,435mm軌間の列車が入ることのできるプラットホームがあります。なお、この標準軌のホームは後付けで拡張されたため、ノスタルジックな駅舎がホームに挟まれるような形で位置しています。

Desde allí, los trenes de la línea Shorncliffe paran en cada estación y, además de la línea Sunshine Coast, la línea Redcliffe también se convierte en un tren expreso hacia Bowen Hills.
