The section from Cairns to Rockhampton is non-electrified, but the section from Rockhampton to Brisbane is electrified with AC 25kV 50Hz. In addition to the "Spirit of Queensland" train, the "Electronic Tilt Train" and the "Spirit of the Outback"(which runs from Longreach to Brisbane via Rockhampton) run.

At Rockland, the Blackwater Railway from Longreach joins and the North Coast line becomes double track from there on to Gladstone. The "Spirit of the Outback" reverses at Rockhampton station to connect from Longreach to Brisbane.

　ケアンズからロックハンプトンまでは非電化区間ですが、ロックハンプトンからブリスベンまでは交流25kv 50hzで電化されています。この区間には「スピリット・オブ・クイーンズランド」号の他に電車列車による「ティルトトレイン」、ロックハンプトンの西のロングリーチからロックハンプトン経由でブリスベンを結ぶ「スピリット・オブ・ジ・アウトバック」号も走ります。
　ロックランドでは、ロングリーチからのブラックウォーター鉄道が合流し、北海岸線はこの先グラッドストンまで複線になります。「スピリット・オブ・ジ・アウトバック」号はロックハンプトンで折り返してロングリーチとブリスベンを結びます。

El tramo de Cairns a Rockhampton no está electrificado, pero el tramo de Rockhampton a Brisbane está electrificado con CA 25 kV 50 Hz. Además del tren "Spirit of Queensland", circulan el "Electronic Tilt Train" y el "Spirit of the Outback" (que va de Longreach a Brisbane vía Rockhampton).

En Rockland, se une el ferrocarril Blackwater de Longreach y la línea de la costa norte se convierte en vía doble desde allí hasta Gladstone. El "Spirit of the Outback" da marcha atrás en la estación de Rockhampton para conectarse de Longreach a Brisbane.

Gladstone is a port city and has the largest shipping port in Queensland.  There is a short line on the North Coast line that does not go through Gladstone station.

Like the towns north of Rockhampton, Bundaberg is a town with a thriving sugar industry, and there are two level crossings with the Sugar Cane Railway along the North Coast line.

Maryborough is home to the "Downer Rail" factory, where rolling stock is manufactured. It is also home to the headquarters of wood products company "Hyne & Son". Passenger trains once departed from Maryborough Station, but now trains depart from Maryborough West Station, which opened in 1989, and a shuttle bus runs between this station and Maryborough Station.

　グラッドストンは港町で、クイーンズランドで最大の出荷港があります。なお、北海岸線にはグラッドストンを経由しない短絡線があります。
　バンダバーグはロックハンプトンより北側の町と同様、砂糖の産業が盛んな街で、北海岸線にはサトウキビ鉄道との平面交差が２か所あります。
　メアリーボロにはダウナー・レールの工場があり、鉄道車両の製造が行われています。また、木材製品会社のハイン＆サンの本社があります。かつてメアリーボロ駅にも旅客列車が発着していましたが、現在は1989年に開業したメアリーボロ西駅に列車は発着し、この駅とメアリーボロ駅の間はシャトルバスが走ります。

Gladstone es una ciudad portuaria y tiene el puerto marítimo más grande de Queensland.  Hay una línea corta en la línea de la costa norte que no pasa por la estación Gladstone.

Al igual que las ciudades al norte de Rockhampton, Bundaberg es una ciudad con una próspera industria azucarera y hay dos pasos a nivel con el ferrocarril de la caña de azúcar a lo largo de la línea de la costa norte.

Maryborough alberga la fábrica "Downer Rail", donde se fabrica el material rodante. También alberga la sede de la empresa de productos de madera "Hyne & Son". Gympie is a town famous for its gold mining, and after gold was discovered in 1867, it developed through a gold rush. Old Gympie Station, like Maryborough Station, has no longer been serviced by North Coast Line trains since its replacement, Gympie North Station, opened in 1989. It is now operated by steam locomotives operated by the Mary Valley Heritage Railway. City Train Network trains run from Gympie North Station to Brisbane, although there are only two trains a day.

　ギンピーは金鉱で有名な町で、1867年に金が発見されて以降ゴールドラッシュで発展しました。旧ギンピー駅はメアリーボロ駅と同様、1989年に代替駅であるギンピー北駅が開業して以降、北海岸線の列車は来なくなりました。現在ではメアリー・ヴァレー・ヘリテージ鉄道による蒸気機関車が運行されています。ギンピー北駅からブリスベン方面へは１日２本だけですが、シティトレイン・ネットワークの電車が走ります。

Gympie es una ciudad famosa por su minería de oro y, después de que se descubrió oro en 1867, se desarrolló gracias a la fiebre del oro. La antigua estación Gympie, como la estación Maryborough, ya no cuenta con el servicio de trenes de la línea de la costa norte desde su reemplazo, la estación Gympie North, inaugurada en 1989. Ahora es operada por locomotoras de vapor operadas por Mary Valley Heritage Railway. Los trenes de City Train Network van desde la estación Gympie North hasta Brisbane, aunque solo hay dos trenes al día.

　金皮(Gympie)是一個以金礦開採而聞名的小鎮，1867年發現金礦後，透過淘金熱而發展起來。與 瑪麗伯勒站一樣，老 金皮站自 1989 年替代金皮北站 啟用以來，不再由北海岸線列車提供服務。城市火車網 (City Train Network) 的列車從 金皮北站 (Gympie North Station) 開往 布里斯班 (Brisbane)，但每天只有兩班列車。
