The section between Brussels, the capital of Belgium, and Paris, the capital of France, includes two high-speed rail lines, HSL1 (LGV1) and LGV Nord (TGV), with a maximum speed of 300 km/h. TGV Thalys, TGV inOui and Eurostar (to London) trains run on these high-speed rail lines. After leaving Brussels South Station, the train will for a while run on a multi-track section of Belgian line 96N, which is electrified with 3000V DC. Trains run at a maximum speed of 160 km/h on Belgian line 96N.
After passing Halle Station, the electrification system switches from 3000V DC to 25kV AC 50Hz, and the train enters Belgian High Speed Railway Line 1 and begins high-speed operation at a maximum speed of 300km/h.
The total length of the new high-speed line within Belgium is 73 km, and after crossing the border into France, the train will enter the LGV (TGV) Nord. At the Sainghin junction, high-speed trains to Lille and London diverge and merge. Eurostar operates a system that connects Amsterdam, Brussels and London, and a system that connects Paris and London.
At Antwerpen-Nooderdokken station, HSL4 joins Belgian Lines 12 and 27 at a junction. The high-speed train goes underground after passing Antwerp Luchtbal Station and arrives at Antwerp Central Station on the second basement floor.
Antwerp Central Station is a huge terminal station, with Thalys and IC trains platform on the second basement floor, a four-line head-end platform on the first basement floor, and a dead-end platform on the ground floor. The train runs on "Line 25" from Antwerp Central Station to Brussels.
The approach line to the Paris-Lille railway branches off at the Croisilles junction, and the TGV from Paris towards Arras, Valenciennes and Saint-Omer connects directly to the high-speed line and the Paris-Lille railway. The TGV travels between Paris and these northern French cities in less than two hours.
TGV Haute Picardie station is the only passenger station on the LGV (HSL) line between Brussels and Paris.

At the Vemars junction, the LGV (TGV) Interconnexion Est branches off towards Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The Interconnexion Est rail tracks are connected to the LGV (TGV) Est and Sud-Est tracks.
The LGV (TGV) Nord line joins the Paris-Lille railway at a junction north of Villiers-le-Bel-Gonesse-Arnouville station. The track from Villiers-le-Bel-Gonesse-Arnouville station to Paris Nord is shared by high-speed trains and long-distance trains of the Paris-Lille railway.
Paris Gare du Nord is the terminal station for trains bound for northern France, with the high-speed Eurostar trains on track No. 3 to 5, the TGV inOui and TGV Thalys on track 6 to 16, and the Intercity (long-distance trains) of Paris-Lille Railway. Departs from track No. 9 to 19. Adjacent to the east side of Paris Gare du Nord is Paris Gare de l'Est, a terminal station for trains to eastern France and southern Germany.
The train will travel 311 km from Paris Gare du Nord to Brussels South in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes, and 522 km from Paris Gare du Nord to Amsterdam Centraal Station in approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
