Amtrak's Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle depart from El Paso Station in western Texas. El Paso is a city bordering Mexico and forms a metropolitan area along with Ciudad Juarez on the Mexican side. Although located in Texas, the time is set in the Mountain Time Zone rather than the Texas time zone, so travelers will need to adjust their clocks when heading east from El Paso.
In El Paso, in addition to the UP Railroad, the BNSF Railway El Paso Subdivision from Albuquerque, a large city in New Mexico, and Ferromex's main mountain freight railroad, the A Line, run from Mexico City via Chihuahua. From this station, the Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle trains enter the single-track section of the UP Railroad Valentin Subdivision on the east side.
アムトラックの「サンセット・リミテッド」「テキサス・イーグル」はテキサス州の西部、エルパソ駅を発着します。エルパソはメキシコとの国境に接する都市で、メキシコ側にあるシウダードファレスとともに大都市圏を形成しています。テキサス州にあるものの、時刻はテキサス州の時間帯ではなく山岳時間帯が採用されているので、旅行者はエルパソから東側へ行く際には時計の時刻の調整をする必要があります。

Sunset Limited y Texas Eagle de Amtrak salen de la estación El Paso en el oeste de Texas. El Paso es una ciudad fronteriza con México y forma un área metropolitana junto con Ciudad Juárez en el lado mexicano. Aunque se encuentra en Texas, la hora se establece en la zona horaria de las montañas en lugar de la zona horaria de Texas, por lo que los viajeros deberán ajustar sus relojes cuando se dirijan al este desde El Paso.
En El Paso, además del ferrocarril UP, la subdivisión BNSF Railway El Paso de Albuquerque, una gran ciudad en Nuevo México, y el principal ferrocarril de carga de montaña de Ferromex, la Línea A, van desde la Ciudad de México a través de Chihuahua. The train runs through the Chihuahuan Desert and stops at three stations between El Paso and San Antonio: Alpine Station, Sanderson Station, and Del Rio Station. Along the way, two lines to Fort Worth and two to Mexico diverge. The train bound for Los Angeles covered the 605 miles (973 km) between El Paso and San Antonio in 9 hours and 40 minutes, traveling through the desert at a top speed of 79 mph (127 km/h) and an average speed of 62.6 mph (100.7 km/h).

San Antonio is a city in central Texas, and is the third largest metropolitan area in Texas, after the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and the Houston metropolitan area. San Antonio is close to Mexico and has a large population of Spanish speakers. San Antonio is served only by UP Railroad lines, with the line from Monterrey, Mexico and the line from Corpus Christi, a port city in south Texas.
San Antonio Station is a station with one platform, and the former Southern Pacific Railroad steam locomotive has been preserved at the station. At this station, the Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle trains from Los Angeles split. The Sunset Limited continues east on the UP Railroad's Del Rio Subdivision toward Houston and New Orleans. Meanwhile, the Texas Eagle turns around and enters the UP Railroad Austin Subdivision, heading to Fort Worth via Austin, the capital of Texas.

San Antonio es una ciudad en el centro de Texas y es la tercera área metropolitana más grande de Texas, después del área metropolitana de Dallas-Fort Worth y el área metropolitana de Houston. San Antonio está cerca de México y tiene una gran población de hablantes de español. San Antonio cuenta únicamente con líneas de ferrocarril UP, con la línea desde Monterrey, México y la línea desde Corpus Christi, una ciudad portuaria en el sur de Texas.
